Freienbach, 07. April 2021 – Swiss E-Mobility Group AG (SEMG), a CONSTELLATION V fund portfolio company, has acquired Bike Evasion Sports SA (Bike Evasion). Starting April 1st 2021, Bike Evasion will be incorporated into the group’s retail chain, m-way.
As part of an asset deal transaction, the previous owner has decided to sell Bike Evasion to SEMG. Bike Evasion was founded in 1994 and has become the largest e-bike retailer throughout the Valais region.
The Founder of Bike Evasion, Dominique Crettenand, will remain an advisor to the group, facilitating a seamless integration of Bike Evasion into SEMG. For the time being, Bike Evasion will continue to operate under its brand. The first integration efforts will be focused on back-end business processes, including IT systems and logistic and procurement processes.
The incorporation of Bike Evasion into the SEMG results in a win-win situation for both parties. While Bike Evasion will profit from SEMG’s digitalisation, systems, and extensive product portfolio, SEMG is gaining expert sales power and a local brand known throughout the region. Additionally, Bike Evasion, attracts neighbouring French customers.
Bike Evasion´s acquisition fits perfectly into SEMG’s growth strategy to strengthen its position as the leading e-bike retailer in Switzerland. The acquisition further extends SEMG´s branch network of over 30 stores in all Swiss regions.
